Anthropomorphized
Blushing Poster
45 x 68 inches
2006
This poster blushes as it reveals its own suggestive content. This is one of seven life-sized posters that explore trompe l-oeil, emotional ornamentation, and the anthropomorphized graphic design object. Ink-jet print.
For my MFA thesis I designed a set of subway posters that hang at eye level and have a relationship to the scale of an adult body. Each poster investigates historical examples of the use of the human body as a communication tool in graphic design in order to explore the possibility a self-reflective graphic design object.
